Opportunity: Kaleo Student Ministry (KSM) Teacher
Summary:
KSM serves 6th-12th grade students. We love to hang out and have fun together while growing in our faith, understanding, and love for God and others. At KSM, we seek true wisdom for life and desire to experience safe, authentic community. KSM high school and middle school students meet on the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Sundays of the month from 1:30-3 pm for lunch, teaching, games, and fellowship, typically at the church. We also gather to serve missionally through 5th Sunday Service Projects. Additionally, we offer weekly bible study opportunities in homes, retreats/camps, and special events throughout the year.
Time Requirements:
Initial commitment is for September through May.
- Approximately 2-3 hours/week for Sunday gatherings; 2-3 hours/week for weekly bible studies in host homes; lesson preparation time in advance of teaching assignments.
- KSM Teachers are expected to serve on Sundays from 1:15 pm until all students have been picked up by parents.
- Teachers participating in weekly bible studies in host homes are expected to serve from the designated start time until all students have left the host home.
- May also provide additional leader/teaching support at retreats/camps and special events, as schedules allow.
- Required trainings, as requested.

Responsibilities and Authority:
- Be attentive to students at all times, and invest relationally in all students.
- Help maintain order during group times.
- Follow all safety, security, and risk management protocols.
Qualifications:
- Have solid foundation and joy studying and sharing Scripture; able to develop and present a cohesive lesson plan.
- Enjoy working with and caring for pre-teens and teenagers.
- Must be 18 years of age; if 18, must have graduated from high school.
- Pass background check through Department of Justice.
- Complete any requested trainings (risk management, etc.).
